The Giants have been trying to sign a big free agent and hitters did not want to hit in a pitcher’s ballpark. Also big time free agents did not want to play for a team that wasn’t a winner. This is a great move for the Giants. They finally get the type of hitter they couldn’t get in the free agency market.They bid big on Ohtani and Judge.
Boston was fed up with Dever’s attitude about vacating third base.
