Well, they are the LA Angels, so we win anyway.
This was their World Series. Closest they will get.
Good thing the Padres played equally badly.
Fudge!! What a pathetic weekend.
Disastrous series. Our pitchers have been awful, and our offense so uneven.
I have little faith.
The Lost Weekend? (We could use the bats, actually).
Dodgers remain in first place.
García should also have reached his sell-by date.
Not impressed by our bullpen. Ugh.
Me either. We have got real problems with the bullpen and the starters.
Nope. We got one more inning to avoid the sweep.
We need runs, Max!
Maybe take one pitch, Pages?
M’s burn Fryers again, but Aths blow one to Gnats and Snakes smash Rox 1-0.
Thanks, Mariners.
For trading CT3 to us for Zach Lee!
Banda is not a multi inning guy.
Well crap!!
Banda not doing it.
Has he passed his sell-by date?
Two innings is one too many.
Banda grooved that one.
Well, that didn’t last long.
Wah-Hoo!! A Dilly Pop ties the game.
We all tied up!
WILLY!!!
Gunna miss CT3, though it was painful to watch him this season and the first half of last season. Wasn’t too popular around here, even when he was on because big swing meant a bunch of Ks. Playing for peanuts he generated about WAR 3 a year from 2017-21. Had some big post season series and overall in 80 games put up OPS .791. Got big payday in 2022, but was probably only a $15 million player back in 2017-18 when he was generating WAR 4.5 per year. Had a good second half in 2024 and came up big in NLCS against the Mets, but couldn’t sustain performance this year.
Chance to get back into it.
Meh.
You were a little premature.
With which comment? Both?
Almost a Trea Turner slide.
These have not been easy games to watch.
Nah, I forgot Teo.
Teo in LF, Edman in CF, and Pages in RF is out best outfield. Kim at 2B.
I’ve got $17M reasons why it won’t ever happen. But I would be OK with it. Conforto sucks.
That is a sunk cost.
So far.
Teo due back tomorrow, but will he be able to pitch?
Yuck.
Much like the Dodger starters, I keep missing the top of the first.
Me, too!
I can’t ever recall a team being so snakebit with injuries
Good grief!!!
Gonsolin bleeding for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers announced that outfielder Chris Taylor has been released, in order to open up roster space for Tommy Edman’s activation from the 10-day injured list.
This saddens me, as he had some great moments as a Dodger. I particularly remember his walk-off throw from LF to beat the Fryers in 2020. Kenley got the save.
All of his good moments came before he signed his big contract. Since 2022 he has been a complete bust. $60M down the drain.
He’s largely been unplayable since 2022 after falling off a cliff following his All-Star 2021 campaign. And it’s all come to a head the previous two years.
In 2024, Taylor registered a -0.1 WAR in 87 games with equal struggles on both sides of the ball. In 2025, across just 35 plate appearances, he was worth -0.5 WAR. Since the start of 2022, totaling 350 games, Taylor’s only been good for 1.6 WAR.
