Good thing Vesia is a reliever. He is so intense out there. Although – I guess some starters are pretty intense as well. Buehler. Kershaw (especially younger Kersh). Bob Gibson
Roger Clemens was pretty intense (though part of was undoubtedly steroid-fueled).

How did Shohei look in his one inning? Did he throw too many pitches to go more than one?
It was my understanding that he was only going to pitch one inning regardless of number of pitches. He would up making a lot of pitches. Looked good other than command.
Ok. I thought they might want to stretch him out since his last bullpen work was 44 pitches. Seems to be going backwards but I guess 28 in one actual inning is more intense than throwing a side session. However – I’ll trust the Dodgers over my own thoughts and ideas!
Also interesting was watching him walk off the mound and not go into the dugout and instead start getting his armour on to lead off the bottom of the inning. It could have been a good time to bat him second.
He looked pretty good! Bad “no swing” call cost him a run.A few overthrown pitches that he yanked. Good velocity.
He got cheated a pitch that Manny clearly swung at but was still called a ball.
