Out scored by 6 runs but won 2 out of 3! I’ll take it every half week!

One reason I don’t put too much stock in run differential stats.

Meaningful over the course of a full season, but necessarily perfectly predictive.

Not perfectly predictive, actually.

He was so excited to give LA fans their free jumbo jack. He knew the only way to do it was strike out the side – and he dud it!!!

Kopech majorly squeezed. And then loses the zone.

If this is the offence we get from an Ohtani starting up the pitching side of things – no thanks.

I imagine Yates will pitch into the 7th.
Then Kopech and Scott for the rest.

Over the last 14 innings:
Conforto 2 RBI
Dodgers 0 RBI

For better…or worse, Conforto is a Dodger.

By going with a bullpen game last night and allowing Sauer to stay in and get repeatedly hammered, and then today by starting Wrobleski, who has a 7.20 ERA, it seems to me that the Dodgers are conceding two games.I know that the club has few options, but I had hoped that Friedman would do something to try and remedy the issue of starting pitching. It has been brewing for some time. If we lose today, we will fall to second by percentage points. And if we lose and the Giants win, we will be in third. The Dodgers have been in first or tied for first everyday since April 28.

My mistake. I see that the Dodgers are starting Casparius, which is better, but the fundamental problem of starting pitching remains,

Not many options at present. Even with the history of arm issues on this roster, it’s been a worst-case scenario. I am cautiously optimistic for Snell, Glasnow, and Ohtani. Sasaki and Sheehan could also contribute.
