Bad news. Dodgers utilityman Kiké Hernández sustained a “significant tear” of his left oblique yesterday, manager Dave Roberts told reporters. Probably out until after the AS break at best.
Teo probaly out until after the AS break. Could Ward get the call??

Betts got hosed. That was not a foul tip.
Maybe they said he swung.

It would take a solo home run to do it, but love to see Pages get to 50 RBI’s tonight.

I looked at Tommy Davis 1962 season when he led the NL with 153 rbi. He got his number 50 at his 48th game and the team’s 50th game of the season.

Very messy interesting game: walks, HBP, error. But some very nice defensive plays as well.

Dodgers look to become the first MLB team to score 300 runs so far this year. Meanwhile they are one of 4 teams not to have given up 200 runs (177 runs allowed – also the best in MLB).

New leaders in the AL West are the 28-29 M’s.

Here’s how some of our old friends are faring this year.

  • Keibert Ruiz (Nats) – After a slow start, he is hitting .252 with a .754 OPS.
  • Alex Verdugo (Padres) – Still rehabbing – No playing.
  • Josiah Gray (Nats) – Recovering from a flexor strain. Pitched 8 innings in 2024 after pitching 159 in 2023 and has not pitched since.
  • Miguel Vargas (ChiSox) – .244 BA/12 HR/.376 OB%/.876 OPS
  • Conner Wong (Red Sox) – .241 BA/.668 OPS
  • James Outman (Twins) – .179 BA/.644 OPS/0 HR
  • Walker Buehler (Padres) – 3-2/5.05 ERA/1.403 WHIP
  • Manny Machado (Padres) – .176 BA/,612 OPS
  • Corey Seager (Rangers) – .179 BA/.639 OPS – On IL
  • Cody Belinger (Yankees) – .274 BA/,854 OPS/6 HR
  • Jonny DeLuca (Rays) – .269 BA/.710 OPS/ 2 HR
  • Ryan Pepiot (Rays) – Out for the season
  • Edwin Uceta (Rays) – 60 day IL
  • Hunter Feduccia (Rays) – .278 BA/.735 OPS/54 ABs
  • Gavin Lux (Rays) – IL has not played
  • Zach McKinstry (Tigers) – .177 BA.480 OPS
  • Michael Busch (Cubs) – .230 BA/.740 OPS/5 HR
  • Michael Conforto (Cubs) – .284 BA/.925 OPS
  • Chris Taylor – Retired this week nd then “un-retired”… probably so MLB would pay for rehabbing his broken arm.
