Ward’s promotion is now official. The Dodgers announced Freddie Freeman is heading to the paternity list to clear a spot for the rookie. Ward is starting at first base against the Rockies.
Ward will be making his big league debut the first time he appears in a game, and his first trip to the Show comes at the relatively old age of 28.
