Victory snatched from the jaws of defeat!
Sweet sweeewwwp! Woo-HOO!
High leverage for Scott
High anxiety for us.
Mel Brooks!
I thought of pulling up the video.
Always an adventure.
Holy Freaking Cow. What a comeback.
Have to say I had given up on this one.
Now we are cooking!
Pfffffffffffffffft!!!!!! Roki getting rocked.
He got burned on a couple really cheap hits, then made one really bad pitch.
Yep. Bad luck and bad location.
So far this season, (G)nats “star” catcher Patrick Bailey has an OPS+ of -7 (yeah, you read that right).
Nice nine-pitch first for Roki.

A day off for Teo.
In his first major league AB, 19-year-old Bucs rookie Konnor Griffin smokes a two-run double. then scores on a base hit.
What is the significance?
When was the last time a 19-year-old played in the bigs? Pitt crowd fired up for top prospect in baseball.
Juan Soto, May 20, 2018. Julio Urias, May 27, 2016.
Great. Recall in my childhood being awed by Al Kaline who debuted with Tigers at age 18 ( and won a batting title at age 20). And of course Joe Nuxhall, who appeared in a game at age 15. His only one until getting back to the bigs at age 23.
Pitching was shaky but offense came thru finally.
Arrived late (7th inning) to enjoy a rout. Woo-HOO!!!
Wherefore art thou all?
Yo ando en Lago di Como.
Golfing
Sheehan somehow staggers through five, in line for the win.

Time for the offense shows up.
Sure hate to miss the series in DC, but my wife’s family made other plans for me. Somewhat mitigated as it involves being in Italy for two weeks!
The Dodgers’ inability to score much thus far this season, despite their being 4-1 entering play tonight, is unexpected. However, you drop such a streak into the middle of the season and it is barely noticed.
Agreed.
The 2 doubles on Saturday gave Freeman 550 career doubles, moving him into 31st on MLB’s all-time list.
In hitting his 550th career double, Freeman broke a tie with Chipper Jones.
In terms of all-time doubles in MLB history, next on the list are Jeff Kent and Eddie Murray tied with 560 in their respective careers. Just ahead of them is Carlos Beltrán, who finished with 565 career doubles.
By season’s end Freeman conceivably could approach the top-20, where Todd Helton is ranked with 592 doubles.
