Amen
Let’s go Jack!
More insurance please!
Justin getting the job done! Who’s next!?
Orel going from last night where he was saying it was a must win game to start righting the ship to today saying it was good to bring in Scott and Treinen so they can work toward being their best for the post season.
He said that last night as I recall when Doc brought in Scott.
I missed that but several times earlier in the game he was saying how important a win was.
Says a lot of stuff during the course of a game,
I like Orel especially when he works with Joe but that “lot of stuff” you reference drives others crazy.
That’s his job. He is generally insightful and doesn’t bore us with a bunch of “when I used to play stuff” and “how much better the game was back then”.
There was some talk that Pages should have leaped and tried to catch the home run last night. Given there were two outs and a three run lead, and a no-hitter on the line, I agree. If the ball had stayed in the worst that could have happened was a triple instead of a double.
It was uncharacteristic of him. Guessing lack of familiarity with ballpark made him more cautious than normal.
Most kids and pros dream of making a game saving great play and that was a situation where that thought easily could have been in his head.
It’s probably always in Pages’ head and most often in his actions, I was just trying to guess why not in this particular situation.
My guess is he didn’t think he could get to it. In this case, the best play was not the best decision.
Upon further review: He had no chance. The camera angle was deceiving. The ball actually hit a railing four feet behind and 18 inches higher than the wall.
Rortvedt now tied for Dodger YTD lead for sacrifice bunts.
Might also lead the team for most consecutive no hit innings in one game as a catcher ,
I saw an article suggesting the Dodgers sign Austin Barnes if Rushing goes on the IL
Where is Sam?
He was released again as I remember so watching games with us I guess.
So he landed on his couch and not in another organization?
Looks like he has played in the giants organization with appearances in both their AAA team and Arizona rookie league!
Rojas awful lucky there.
Sure, if you mean that he put himself in a position to be easily picked off and keep the lineup from being turned over.
Can you imagine the talk if he has been picked off?
He has been a spark plug, but needs to be more aware of situation and risk/reward.
Do we dare even hope!
After last night, it will be awhile before I start counting chickens again.
Me, as well.
Are we ready yet for another game so soon?
A couple gifts to the Os for sweeping the Friars. But not tomorrow!
Stunned! Worse loss I have ever seen.
where else do you go? Blake given more rope given the options, no?
3 batter minimum plus one too many.
Clubhouse has to be a very depressing place to be at this point.
Can’t get any worse.
Blake has me chewing on the couch.
Poor fans. They can witness a dinger anyday.
Welp
Beaver overly eager.
Not really much else he could do, though.
They are letting the kid swing the bat!
A game of interest.
A break on a bullet!
Dodger not satisfied with their catchers getting hurt now adding Oriole catchers to the hurt list
He is good at it too.
Betts hits the ball and good things happen. Unlike Ohtani
Really appreciate Orel’s insights.
Agree.
He is now talking about a trick play when Teo is up with runners on first and third. Talk about a subconscious lack of faith of Teo.
He was suggesting that Doc might put on such a play, as he has in the past, given the runners on the bases.
Teo’s swings against Rogers not very inspiring today.
Dodgers leap out in front!
Call had a good PA but ended with GO.
Southpaw starter.
Though Michael had reverse splits last time I looked.
Rain delay?
In Mexico where my number one cultural appropriation is the siesta. These starts, 5 pm for me, put a cramp in my appropriated lifestyle.
Back at it.
How tonight’s game ended came as no surprise for me.
Reminds me of the 60’s offense
Without Wills scampering around the bases and Koufax pitching complete-game shutouts.
Hello, old friends. I haven’t posted in too long a time. As a fan of the Dodgers since I was a kid in Brooklyn in 1955, this season, despite our somehow still being in first place, has been among the most frustrating of them all. I have never seen a Dodger team play with so little emotion combined with a manager who provides so little inspiration and both of whom are working for a director of baseball operations who is such a poor judge of talent but is also so stubborn.
Very discouraging. Luckily (maybe?) I have been so busy this summer I haven’t been as invested. But wow. Miggy the only player with Fire.
From rock bottom to the mountain top! We need to stay there for awhile.
